Support Workers

Do you want make a positive difference and support people with learning disabilities to develop their interests, skills and lead a great life? Then we are looking for support workers to join our dedicated teams who work across the Didcot and Wallingford areas. We have full, part time and bank opportunities.
You will be supporting people with profound and multiple Learning disabilities who may also have additional health needs, experience sensory loss or have physical disabilities. As part of your role you will be supporting people with full and sometimes intimate personal care, so we are looking for people who are able to demonstrate dignity and respect for the individuals they are supporting, whilst promoting independence.
You will need to have excellent communication and be able to use a range of skills to support people who may have little or no verbal communication, to enable them to actively participate in choices about their life.
You will need to work flexibly and participate in shift work, including weekends and Bank holidays
The people you will be supporting enjoy taking part in a variety of activities and hobbies including Swimming, Music, Walks, Cinema and days out and you will be supporting them to access these as well as looking for other opportunities people may like to try.
For this role you need to be patient, have good sense of humour and be able to support people through good and bad days. We are looking for people who are committed to supporting the people we work with who are honest and reliable, who can be creative and flexible in their approach, enhancing peoples opportunities to grow and develop.
No experience necessary as full training will be provided.
