You might try googling the company to see if there's any complaints about them in other parts of the country.

There's plenty of info about Euro Car Parks which operate at the Orchard Centre and would operate under the same rules as the company you are having problems with.

From what I can recall the ticket you have is a civil contract, in effect an invoice and has nothing to do with the road traffic act. This is an important point because this company can't fine you or make a penalty charge. All they can do is charge you for any damages caused in which case they would have to show how your parking caused them to loose £40.

But don't take my word for it read up on Euro Car Parks, that should put your mind at ease.
