And those hatchings were put there because of the death of a young motorcyclist whose family campaigned for solid white lines but couldnt get it but the hatchings were alowed. This was meant to help the motorcyclists as he was hit head on and he was not in the wrong but still died. But they now seem to think the hatchings mean its a motorbike lane.
