Refuge Centre for Didcot

Not going to use my name for fear of losing my job but a memo popped up in my e-mail this morning to say that plans for a refuge centre in Didcot have been accepted. I am not aware of the location or if this will be built from scratch or an existing building. The projec is due to commence "early 2009".
The premesis will not only cater for asylum seekers but also local homeless.
It will also operate as a drop in centre for counselling and advice. It will provide support for those to learn their rights, help with job seeking and advice on benefits and English culture.
The centre will also provide clothing and some food (tinned good, not a soup kitchen). There will also be showers, and washing facilities (for clothes) available to the walk ins.
As far as I'm aware, there will not be any beds for people to sleep at the premesis.
Just thought you'd like to know.
