Mosque being built as part of Orchard Centre Phase 2! Stop the Madness

Controversial Mosque Plans Revealed

Recently released plans have revealed a controversial new plan for Didcot's ever-growing Orchard Centre.

Phase 2 of the centre, which is currently in latter planning stage is set to include a mosque as part of the new buildings.

"In the current day and age, it has only been a matter of time before a mosque was required in Didcot. The Orchard Centre Phase 2 is going to be the first shopping centre to have a mosque built as part of it." said a representative of Green & Partners, who are currently consulting on the build.

However, Julian Ofol, who moved to the town from Denmark 20 years ago and who is member of the Didcot Chamber or Trade and Tourism was shocked by the plans.

"We can't encourage more immigration to the town. The jobs should be given to the native residents of the town. I know of plenty of people who still have no jobs despite applying for them at least monthly. This mosque will only encourage immigrants in, most of who will be radical Muslims. It is a possible terrorist threat to Didcot" he said.

Aro Pillof who will become the cleric for the new mosque was quick to quell any fears.

"Didcot has nothing to fear from our new Mosque. We give back a lot to the community, and it will provide a welcome centre for the Muslim Population of Didcot, who up until now, have felt hidden in the town. We will not be blowing up Didcot" he reassured us.

Building of Phase 2 of the Orchard Centre will start next year. Any Objections should be filed with the Town Council before January.
