Don't put up with that nonsense. The police are the police. They have a duty to respond to your call if you suspect crimes are being committed. If they want to radio throught to the transport police they can! Traffic officers and dog squads regularly intervene in steet fights, should they just let it carry on because its not their department. Say you're about to chase them off with an air rifle. Just watch the full military might of the Thames Valley police come crashing down. Only it would probably see you in court for frightening poor little Nova-chavs...
